Radiology
Radiology is the branch of medicine that uses electromagnetic radiation to create images of the body, its organs, and structures for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment. The Radiology department works with physicians and other departments to provide the highest quality of care, including:

Ultrasound
An ultrasound procedure is a non-invasive diagnostic procedure used to assess soft tissue structures such as muscles, blood vessels, and organs. All Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital ultrasound procedures performed by a board certified sonographer using state-of-the-art technology, including digital transmission of diagnostic images to remote locations for faster interpretation of results.
Different ultrasound techniques exist for different conditions. Some of the more common types of ultrasound examinations include:
- Echocardiography – adult
- Doppler ultrasound – cardiac flow, venous or arterial
- Breast Imaging – Ultrasound guided aspiration, biopsy, or needle localization
- Male Pelvic Imaging

Nuclear Medicine
